Oh! My captain JI-SUNG PARK

                                                   My captain Ji-sung Park

 He has quitted the Captain and Korean National Football Team. He is symbol of Korean football and our hero.

 His name is Ji-sung Park who is Manchester United football player. He is the only South Korean player to have won the UEFA Champions League and the first Asian to have played in the final match. Even though he has had a fantastic career, he had pygmyish physique when he was young.
 He started football in his fourth year of elementary school. At that time he had talent but he was too small and slim. When he was in high school, he was still small and slim. So his father fed him lots of healthy food.

 After graduation, he tried to go to University or a professional club but he was rejected because of his physique. However, his high school coach strongly recommended him to Myung-ji University coach. So he could play fooball again.

 In January of 1999, his University team had a chance to practise in a game with South Korean Olympic Team. He played very well. For this reason, he was selected by Jung-moo Huh who was the manager of the South Korean Olympic Team. It was unexpected for everyone because if he were to be selected, he would probably have selected for under-20 team instead of the under-23 team which is the Olympic Team.
 Anyway after Olympic games finished, he was recruited to a club in Japan called 'Kyoto Purple Sanga'

 In June of 2000, Park signed with them. He was a diligent and dedicated player and led them to win in the Emperor's Cup. It was the first win in the Kyoto's history. This was Park's last game in Kyoto.
 In January of 2003, he left Kyoto because Guus Hiddink who was the manager of South Korean World Cup Team invited him to PSV Eindhoven. After the 2002 World Cup, he went to Eindhoven. In those days, he went through hard time. He struggled with injuries. Furthermore, PSV's fans blamed him for his playing so he lost his pride. But soon he revealed his ability and scored a goal at the Semi-final of the UEFA Champions League against AC Milan.

Impressed, Sir Alex Ferguson who is the manager of Manchester United invited him to United.

 Nowdays he is a very influential person in Korea. He participated the World Cup three times and has been playing in the Asain Cup as a captain. He is an idol of young Korean football players and Asian football players as well. He is loved by every Korean person. He is always the centre of media.

 This hero has quitted the Captain and the Korean National Football Team. It is sad because we can't see him in A match games anymore. But we want to see that he plays in Man U for a long time.

  He will be remembered forever in our heart as a Captain



Homework

 1. Stuck in the snow

 In the Winter, I was waiting for the bus to go home. It was heavy snowing and very cold. I had been waiting for bus for 40 minutes but the bus didn't come to me. So I thought I had better start walking. At that time, the bus passed by me. It was disaster. I was annoyed but I gave up taking a bus.

 2. Full baseball kit

 In Korea, people love baseball like American. I love baseball as well.
 I really wanted to have a full baseball kit when I was young. I had had a bat but I didn't do anything with just bat. One day I asked my father to buy a the kit but he denied my requirement so I was disappointed.
 On Christmas day at that year, suprisingly he gave me the kit for a Christmas present. He had already bought that before I asked. It was my first and the last Christmas present. I will never forget it.

 This film was made based on novel of the same name in Japan. It is one of my favourite films. This story is beautiful and romantic.


 In the Spring of 1994, Junsei was living in Florence, Italy as a student of picture restoration. He had a girl friend called Megumi but he hasn't forgotten his ex-girl friend Aoi. One day, Junsei was told Aoi is living in Milan and working in jewerly shop from his friend by chance so Junsei decided to meet her in Milan. However when Junsei met Aoi, She enjoyed her luxurious life with Marv who is wealthy American business man so Junsei thought he never back to her.
 When Junsei came back to his studio, his painting which is restored by him was spoilt. It was a disaster. After occured this incident, Junsei went back to Japan. And a few days later, Junsei heard why he and Aoi was broken up. It was just because of misunderstanding of Aoi's abortion.

 In the Spring of 1999, Aoi was trying to forget Junsei but she received his letter. For this reason Aoi and her boy friend Marv argued very often so they decided to seperate.
 Aoi looked back on the past. Aoi and Junsei, In Spring of 1990, met each other in University of Tokyo. She came from Hong Kong as an international student. She seemed to be lonely but stubborn and proud woman who seemed cool, but passion. They fell in love deeply.
 Now, Junsei visits Florence again in order to participate his teacher Jovanna's funeral . He decides to live in Florence and work in his studio again. Nevertheless, he hasn't forgotten Aoi so he remembers 10 years ago  promise which is that Junsei and Aoi promised to meet at the top of Duomo in Florence where swear forever love in her 30's birthday.

 Junsei is toward to Duomo with a hope like a miracle.
